Debby (Roberts) Evans
Debby arrived at NU from Medford, Oregon in September of 1972. She graduated with her BA from NU in the Spring of 1976. (Here is Debby, in her own words, giving an update on her life) After graduating from NU: I went on to AGTS in winter of 1977 and got my MA in NewTestament Studies. Met my husband James Evans while attending there. We married in August of 1979. We both got hired the same month to teach at a. Christian school in Glendora California. We taught there for 26 years (me) and 30 years( James). In 2010 we moved to Costa Mesa California so James could join the IT staff of Vanguard University. I’m fully retired and helping 2 of our 3 daughters with after school childcare. I have helped an older sister to biblical research over the years. The best part of teaching in a Christian school was being able to teach the Bible to children from nearly every corner of the world. I had thought I would be a missionary when I went to NU and go to someplace in South America. Instead I was a missionary to 25-30 2nd graders for 26 years. So my path wasn’t quite what I thought it would be in September of 1976 but it has been so worth it. Birthday: June 10th
