Lauretta's Obituary:
Lauretta Pearl Krueger was born in Oakland, California on April 2, 1954, and was adopted as an infant by Walter and Pearl Holm. They raised her in Sedro Woolley, Washington and she went off to the big city of Seattle to go to Northwest College where she made many life-long friends. Lauretta was known for her stalwart friendship to all she made friends with and she had a real interest in helping people, which served her well in her career working at different administrative assistant positions. At age 50, she married Rolland Krueger and moved away from her beloved Seattle to live in San Marcos, Texas where she worked at Texas State University until her death. Lauretta was a valuable and trusted employee of the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs at Texas State University for eight years. She was also a great resource for the entire Division of Student Affairs. Lauretta touched all of the new employees in Student Affairs through her coordination of the materials for the New Student Affairs Orientation program. She was loved and will be missed by all. Lauretta made many new friends in Texas, through her job at Texas State University, and her and Rolland's church where she was a member of the choir. She also found a love for cats, Longhorn and Dallas Cowboys football, and the San Antonio Spurs; she shared her passion for sports, especially the University of Washington Huskies and the Seattle Seahawks, infectiously with all. Although Lauretta will be greatly missed and we are all very saddened by her passing, we know she is gloriously reunited with her husband Rolland in the arms of the Lord. |
